Tuina massage & Foot reflexology

Tuina massage

Tuina is a Chinese massage technique from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which has been practiced for 2200 years. The practitioner may brush, knead, roll, press, and rub the acupressure points to get the energy moving in the meridians and the muscles. Techniques may be gentle or quite firm. Tuina helps relax the muscles, everything that is stuck will be loosened. We combine Tuina and ear acupuncture or cupping to enhance the effect when necessary.

Cupping is generally used to mobilize blood flow and expel the moist cold energy from the body. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), cupping is often used in combination with acupuncture to treat colds and muscle aches.

Foot reflexology

There are points and zones in our feet that correspond to organs and areas of the body. Foot reflexology is to apply pressure to these areas in the feet. Techniques include kneading the soft ball of the foot, pulling on the toes, tracing around the heel and pushing deep into the arch. Foot reflexology uses targeted, pressure point massage to restore the flow of energy throughout the body.

Some areas can be overly sensitive and tender during the massage stimulation, it indicates weaknesses or imbalances within the corresponding organs. By repeatedly pressing and manipulating the nerve endings, foot reflexology can help clear the blocked energy in the meridians, increasing circulation, cleansing the body of toxins, boosting the immune system and ultimately improve the overall balance. Like Tuina massage, it is an excellent and enjoyable preventative treatment.
